Bob Rock, President
Murphy’s Law always applies; “What can go wrong will go wrong”. I owned my first business in 1974 as a young man who knew very little about insurance. I was fortunate to have an exceptional insurance agent who schooled me about insurance and ensured I had adequate coverage for the times things went wrong. Today he is the owner of a very large agency in MT. He was by far the best agent I ever had and I remain grateful for his guidance.
Very few people start their career wanting to be an insurance agent. Most of us get into insurance by accident, as I did. In the early 90’s I began using an employee leasing company that combined insurance programs with payroll services using an integrated platform for small businesses. I was so impressed with their program that I sold my business and became the Director of Marketing and helped take the company public. That was the beginning of my insurance career.
The early 2000s found me as the Regional Vice President working for a large publicly traded insurance company that provided integrated insurance and payrolls programs. This was a national program in 48 states.
I recognized an opportunity to start my own agency, and the entrepreneur in me took hold. The Contractors Choice Agency, Inc. was born in 2005. Our mission was to write contractors, using an experienced group of producers, that know the contractor business. The same group is with me today. We try to minimize Murphy’s Law for our contractor clients. I still use the employee leasing program for the agency and recommend it to all small business owners. Call us. We can write a program that includes Workers Compensation and Medical, along with your General Liability, Bonds, Commercial Auto, and Builders Risk. We strive to be just like my first agent, the best agent you will ever have.
